Need Advise On Altec 729A Acousta-Voicette Equalizer
Hello Forum, Just wanted to get some input about the Altec 729A Acousta Voicette Eq. I just purchased one off Ebay that is NOS still in original box, never been opened. The ad only had a picture of the box and label, still sealed. It is supposed to come with everything Altec put in the box. I will be receiving it by the end of week.
I was seeing if anyone had good/bad experiences with this unit.
Thank you in advance!

In my opinion, you did well. I bought two off ebay, cosmetic issues (slight) missing some slider knobs. Still have not hooked them up yet.

Thank you for the input. I was told in another forum that to properly EQ the system I would need a RTA and a Pink Noise Generator. Otherwise might not get the proper equalization. But it is a nice, good sounding EQ. Do you remeber about what you had paid for yours? I paid 200 + Shipping

As soon as I receive the EQ, I will post some pictures of the unit being unwrapped for everyone. Hopefully it arrives on Saturday. It is coming from PA to CA and they shipped USPS, you know how long that takes. Just hopeing for the best in the packaging.

I can't really remember what I paid for the ones I bought, except to say it was way less than $200 for both of them. Maybe $50 or so for one, and somewhat more for the other.

Here are some pix of the unit as requested. I hope these are ok. Unfortunately, Being NIB NOS, Just sitting for years, the unit does not turn on. I am currently waiting for all the new Caps and Resistors I ordered.
I Thank everyone for all their help and opinions.
